I had a nose job at Belle Clinic, Phetkasem 81, in June 2024. The price did not match the quoted price. They recommended nasal reshaping even though my nose had no base, and suggested tissue grafting, but the doctor should know whether or not to perform this procedure! The silicone implant was roughly and crooked, showing a complete lack of experience! There were additional charges for medication and for removing my old nose (which I had done 15 years ago elsewhere without problems). I had the revision done to get a teardrop shape. I also paid extra for anesthesia (10,000 THB), which required an anesthesiologist to monitor my breathing and vital signs. During intraoperative anesthesia: administration of anesthesia (intravenous or inhaled medication via mask), airway management (intubation and mechanical ventilation to maintain medication levels (1.0-2.5%), and vital signs monitoring (EKG, blood pressure, oxygen) were performed continuously (the clinic should know whether or not they actually performed this!). I am familiar with the standards in Singapore. My nose surgery took 6-7 hours, and I had to fly back home to Singapore the next day. After the surgery, my face was swollen and bruised for a full month. I couldn't go to work or live normally, and I experienced intermittent nosebleeds. I later sought treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. Eventually, I decided to fly back to Thailand. My nose surgery had a problem; the implant had perforated. So I made an appointment at a reputable hospital, Yanhee Hospital, to fix the problem. They checked and provided all the information honestly and transparently (and this is my experience from Belle Clinic!). Importantly, the counter staff at Belle Clinic didn't recognize my Amex card, which had millions of baht in credit, and they casually threw my card back at me (saying they didn't know what kind of card it was!). I would politely suggest to the counter staff that if you fly business class frequently, you'll automatically recognize this card.
